Welcome to TokaID. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern the rights and obligations between you and Artdim Innovations Ltd. ("we", "us") regarding the TokaID application and related services (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms; if you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. The Service
TokaID is a digital business card and networking service: you can create multiple cards representing different social personas, build connections through proximity exchange, and use features such as the Footprint Map, venues, and social metrics.
The Service is currently in a pilot (testing) phase and features may change; material changes will be announced in the app or on this page.
2. Accounts and Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. We ask you to confirm your age when you sign up; if we learn that you are under 18, we will delete your account.
You must provide accurate registration information and keep your account credentials secure; you are responsible for activity under your account.
You may only create an account for yourself and may not impersonate others or create fraudulent accounts.
3. Your Content and Card Data License
You retain ownership of the content you create on the Service, such as cards, avatars, and bios ("Your Content").
To operate the Service, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, process, reproduce, and display Your Content — including showing your card to exchange partners and other users according to your privacy settings, and generating card share images and public card pages.
How much of your card is disclosed is determined by your privacy settings and your relationship with the viewer (see the Privacy Policy); you can edit or delete your cards at any time.
You represent and warrant that Your Content does not infringe any third-party rights (including copyright, trademark, likeness, and privacy).
4. Exchange and Venues
Connections are established through actual proximity exchange; the exchange relationship and location (Footprint) are recorded as described in the Privacy Policy.
Venues (events) are created and managed by their organizers, who may review, manage, or remove members under venue rules. Check-in may require location verification to confirm presence.
You may not spoof location, forge exchanges, or otherwise circumvent the exchange mechanism by technical means.
5. Virtual Assets and Purchases
In-service points, card styles, and other virtual items ("Virtual Assets") are for use within the Service only, have no cash value, and may not be redeemed for cash, transferred, or traded except where required by law.
Paid card styles are bought directly as in-app purchases through the Apple App Store or Google Play; payments and refunds follow each platform's policies. If a purchase is refunded by the platform, your right to use that style is revoked and any card using it reverts to the default style.
Paid card styles are digital content not supplied on a tangible medium and are made available as soon as payment completes. Under Article 2, Subparagraph 5 of Taiwan's Regulations Governing the Reasonable Exceptions to the Application of the Withdrawal Right in Distance Sales, content supplied with your prior consent is excluded from the seven-day right of withdrawal without cause under Article 19, Paragraph 1 of the Consumer Protection Act; the purchase screen tells you this and asks for your consent before payment.
TokaID Plus is an auto-renewable subscription priced at NT$90 per month or NT$890 per year (the amount actually charged is the local price shown on the App Store or Google Play purchase screen), charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account when you confirm the purchase. The subscription renews automatically for the same period and price unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and the next period is charged within the 24 hours before the current one ends. You can manage or cancel the subscription at any time in your App Store or Google Play account settings; after cancelling, you keep the subscription benefits until the end of the current period. The subscription style issued each month while you are subscribed is yours to keep permanently once issued and is not taken back when the subscription is cancelled, expires, or is refunded.
Limited-time or limited-quantity styles may stop being sold when the sale period ends or stock runs out; styles you have already obtained are not affected.
If your account is terminated for violations, unused Virtual Assets will not be compensated.
6. Acceptable Use
When using the Service, you must not:
impersonate others, spread false identity information, or provide fraudulent content on your cards;
upload unlawful, infringing, obscene, hateful, or harassing content;
harass or stalk other users, or collect their personal data without consent;
access the Service or its data via scraping, reverse engineering, automation, or other unauthorized means;
abuse the exchange, metrics, or event mechanisms (e.g., inflating counts or forging interactions);
engage in any activity that interferes with or disrupts the Service.
7. Moderation and Enforcement
We may review content suspected of violating these Terms and remove or take down violating content.
For violations, we may restrict features, suspend or terminate accounts, or remove/ban users from specific venues, depending on severity.
We will notify you of enforcement outcomes where reasonable; if you believe an action was taken in error, you may appeal via the email below.
8. Changes and Termination
We may add, modify, or discontinue all or part of the Service at any time; where practicable, we will give advance notice of material changes.
You may delete your account in the app at any time; data handling after deletion follows the Privacy Policy.
We may revise these Terms by posting the latest version and update date on this page; material changes will also be notified in the app. Continued use of the Service after a revision takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
9. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis; to the maximum extent permitted by law, we make no express or implied warranties of uninterrupted or error-free operation or fitness for a particular purpose.
Interactions between users (including exchanges, venue events, and offline meetings) are the responsibility of the users involved; please stay safe when exchanging in person.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, the Service.
10. Governing Law and Contact
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of China (Taiwan); disputes arising from these Terms shall first be resolved through good-faith negotiation.
